Enough is Enough

Ok this is just gonna be a quick rant session so bare with me. I am done, I have gained almost as much weight as the 1st time I was pregnant (and im not pregnant) and its got to stop. I dont have very much energy, I feel like BLAHHH and I cant even get 3/4 of my jeans on any more and I have had it. I don't know if I just let my "Holiday Weight" start 6 months early and go over for like 3 months after or what but I need to really get a handle on my self so I am making a commitment now to knock it off. I am not going to starve myself or do any crazy out there diets but I am going to eat healthier foods and much smaller portions. My friend Ashley and I are going to run 2-3 miles three times a week and also play racquetball every saturday morning. My hubby and I are going to play in a coed volley ball league (not so much exercise but fun) and I am also playing womens volley ball 3 times a week (much more exercise and excitement). My goal is to lose 10-15 lbs, to fit in my pants again and this is going to sound weird but I want to be able to do the splits again so I need to work on my stretches. So I guess I am posting this for the world to see, to give myself that extra motivation because I really need it and who knows maybe I will help motivate some one else! :) I will keep you posted on the progress. Ps If any one has any good weight loss tips, good exercises or some yummy healthy recipes please share them with me, I really need help!!! Thanks so much. :) Tree

You are so funny! I think you look great! But I know what you mean... it is so hard to find the TIME and the MOTIVATION. Sounds like you have tons of activities going though. I have been trying to do better too but it is just hard sometimes...good luck and thanks for the extra motivation! (it makes it ever harder since our husband will never have to worry about their weight!)
oh- and good luck on the splits thing! HAHA! I don't know that I will ever be doing that again! (acutally.. I don't know if I ever REALLY did it..maybe once or twice). :)

Hey Teresa!! Tell that crazy sister of yours that if she runs off again we are all going to beat her down!! j/k Your girls are adorable, can you believe how fast they grow up? My advice is just take one day at a time and if you slip up don't come down on yourself too much you can start over again the next day!!! Just stay positive!!! Good luck :)

Hey Teresa I think that you look awesome!! But just eating healthier makes you feel so much better and you have so much more energy. I have a recipe for some yummy granola. Thats what I like to eat through out the day or if I am craving something sweet and it is so good for you. I got the recipe from a cookbook my sister(Rayel) has. It is called Dees Mighty Cookbook. It is an awesome cookbook. You can see a picture of it on her blog. If you want the granola recipe let me know:) Sorry so long!!

OOOOHHHH my favorite subject! yes i am obsessed with exersize!!! last year.... before getting pregnant with my third baby i was at my goal weight (115)and i lost that last 15lbs by switching to 100% whole grains EVERYTHING!! bread, noodles etc.... I also watched sugar intake on the lables.. nothing above 4 grams, also.... in the ingredients part AVOID partially hydrogenated oils..high fructose corn syrup, anything enriched. I know it makes it hard to find things to eat. just make things from scratch and stop buying packages foods. i seriouselly dropped 15lbs in 1 1/2 months just by doing all that. anyways i also believe in exercise too! gotta do that witch it sounds like you are!! anyways i could write a book on all of this (but dont judge me if you see me soon... i just had a baby and am working my butt off!!!) good luck!!
email me so i can invite you to my blog... aklaproth@yahoo.com

K first of all you are beautiful and tiny but I understand how you feel. I have had 2 kids and have not lost any of the weight and its getting to the point of depression I think!!! If you ever saw any of my pictures from before I had kids you would understand why I am getting depressed. I wish so bad I had someone to work out with me like you do. That would definately be motivation for me! But I know you will stick with your goals and you will lose the weight you want to lose fast! I am so jealous! Have fun:)

You are funny, I think you look fabulous too. But I know what you mean, you know how your body feels best and if you have gained a few pounds sometimes it is hard to feel your best. After studying nutrition and talking about it all day at my job the only conclusion I have come to is that maintaining or losing weight is not some radical sicence. It sounds like you already know what to do. Small portions and healthy foods. It is just so hard to be deciplined. I have been so frustrated too because since we started training for this marathon I have gained 2 pounds! All this excercise and this is what I get??? haha. Anyway, I hope it is muscle but it is probably just because I am eating more. :) Check out this site for some easy and healthy recipes http://www.public.asu.edu/~ddayton/ Also, I think that a huge thing with weight loss is lots of water and FIBER! Also, snack often and don't go hungery. Good luck. (You really don't look like you need to lose though) :)

OH YOU ARE SO SILLY!! IF I ONLY LOOKED LIKE YOU..BUT I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN--YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR BODY FEELS BEST-- I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE TO LOSE BOTH MY BABIES WEIGHT BY NURSING, WALKING, AND WINDSOR PILATES....I HAVE NOTICED THAT ITS WHEN I "DON'T CARE" I LOSE THE WEIGHT, WHEN I AM STRESSED OUT ABOUT IT-- NOTHING HAPPENS!! BUT- WALKING HAS BEEN MY SAVING GRACE..IF I RUN TOO MUCH-- I PACK ON THE MUSCLE--AND BULK UP! IT'S FRUSTRATING BRINGING THESE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN IN THE WORLD--THEN LOOKING AT THE DAMAGE THEY LEFT ON YOUR BODY....I GUESS IN THE LONG RUN-- AS LONG AS YOU ARE HAPPY AND HEALTHY-- IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT WE LOOK LIKE! GOOD LUCK--

I am right there with you. I only had one pair of jeans to wear so I decided to do Wieght watchers. Well my own kind and I have lost 7 pounds in three weeks. I eat all the time but healthier food. If you ever want to try it it is awesome. I don't think you need to lose any weight though you look so good.

I only hope that I look as good as you do after 2 kids....however, for my job that I am starting in May I have to do pass a PT test (ie. 1.5 miles in 16 minutes, 30 full situps in a minute and 15 guy pushups in a minute)and it has made me realize that I was way out of shape- I think that everyone has different things that work for them but I personally think just mixing it up- don't always do the same thing..I dont know thats my fabulous work out tip..but also although muscle weighs more than fat it also burns more calories?? But good luck with your goals!

You're funny, you do look good! Just worry about how you feel and being healthy, not how you look. Then everything else will fall into place. My Mom gave us that picture for Christmas, you would have to ask her.

Hey teresa!
This is Brooke just in case you're wondering! Hey- book called body for life that has some kickin' tips on changing your body. I'm into the myoplex drinks w/ a fruit for breakfast and a quick meal is green bean steamers (freezer isle) and chicken breast..throw it in a crockpot with a jar of salsa and lowfat cream of chicken...cook it up, shred it and throw it over the green beans.. sounds wierd- but its good. I got some other ones, so call me. Nursing has helped me get my weight off, but all this other jazz helps too! Take it for what its worth...good lookin out hot stuff!
